In the competition, we gave an presentation about our ideas and research on the relationship between biomaterials and sustainability, and it's possibility in solving global issues such as global warming.

During the event, we gave a talk about using fungi-based biomaterials as construction materials. We also showcased the use of mushroom and biomaterials on enhancement and promotion of sustainability.

Collaboration with teachers from Macau, in this workshop a mushroom STEAM model was introduced with the aid of spore print making, and there were several training sessions of mushroom cultivation science.

This time we have brought our mushrooms and some products under developing stage to the Peacemaker’s Cultural Celebration. We have interacted with different kinds of audiences and received many positive responses from the public. We have done a survey to enhance our understanding towards the public.

Maker Faire 2018

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
During the maker faire, we have delivered the message of “Appreciating the natural beauty” by spore print. We have promoted to the public on the scientific uses of spore print and the procedures to make it. More importantly, we hope that by applying spore print on creating an art piece, we inspire the beauty of nature to the children and stimulate their creativity.

Mini Exhibition

It is our first public exhibition. The theme is “Exploring the beauty of mushroom”. We have shown the natural beauty of mushroom to the public through biodiversity, sustainability, etc. The guests have tried our mushroom cooked without any seasoning. We are glad to have received many positive feedbacks throughout the events.
